And our fav beach is getting a little makeover. 🏊‍♀️🏄‍♀️🌊☀️There's about to be plenty of activity along the Bargara foreshore as sand nourishment works get underway from 20 July 🌊

What does that mean for visitors and residents?

🏖️ Sand will be placed along Bargara Beach to help protect the coastline from erosion.
🌱 Revegetation works will also form part of the project.
🐢 The Turtle Playground will remain open and accessible throughout the works.
🚧 Expect temporary beach access restrictions near the work site, some traffic changes, a boardwalk detour and limited parking near the boat ramp.

Thanks for your patience as we help protect our coastline for years to come!

You can find out more about the project here: bunrc.au/r/bb
More information about the Bargara Shoreline Erosion Management plan can be viewed here: bunrc.au/r/obrbs

The project is supported by the Queensland government's QCoast 2100 program Round 4, which is delivered in partnership with the LGAQ and is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
